The right to direct and allocate work

A fundamental principle of Swedish employment law is the so-called right to direct and allocate work (Sw. arbetsledningsrätten). This means that the employer directs and allocates the work and governs a company’s operations. This principle has been a general principle of law since the so-called December Agreement of 1906 and according to the case law of the Swedish Labour Court.
